Don't get discouraged if you fell off the wagon yesterday (Valentine's Day).  Just get back on today.  It's not realistic to think that we would deprive ourselves when it comes to the holidays.  I know that there are chocolate strawberries in my refridgerator right now and I do not plan on letting them spoil.  I will, however, be sharing them with my family so that the calories get evenly divided.  That is a great achievement for me because I can easily eat them all.  All by myself.  No problem.   Hope everybody had a Happy Valentine's Day.    Lettie

COOK FAMILY

Hey everyone,

Some of my new goals are going to be:
1. make sure all family members know how to run the blog to full cabability
2. Keep my families goals up to date on the blog
3. Try to find time to do dishes! LOL

Things have been super crazy but fun around here the past week.
I had to run New Beginnings AGAIN which turned out great but grateful its over
The boat show started today and dad and I have our boat in it advertising Boat Rentals, if anyone wants to go this weekend sometime check it out its over in the North West corner with Croft Marine!!!!!!
but our biggest news for the week is.......
Mickelle has decided to start a business!
I know the apple doesn't fall far from the tree, and yes I LOVE IT!
The other night we were driving home and Mickelle says "Mom I'd like to start a business" I said ok what are you going to sell? she then replied "I don't know what should I sell?"
I then took some time to explain that part of starting a business is thinking of a great idea that you would be better at then most people.
Before to long she had come up with her idea, her business name and a list of things she needed me to accomplish such as a website to help get this going for her.
She then informed me that she would like me to help pay to get the business going but that once she started making money she didn't want to split it because I already have lots of businesses and lots of money. (I have seemed to forgotten which bank account that money is in if someone can help remind me!)
So Mickelle had her first week and sold 11 Sporty Bandz which was fantastic we are so proud of her and the belief she has had to start her business.
If you want to check out her website it is still a work in progress but we are hoping to have it all finished this weekend!

If anyone wants to schedule some one on one time to learn the blog I would be happy to help, just call me

And so begins our second month!  I know I havn't written anything for a while but that's because I was having a pitty party about no one writing back.  I'm over that for now, so on to the next thing.
I thought our goal party was great.  We missed Julie, Heather, Casey, Mike and Ben. Hope you guys can be there next month. Send me an update on your progress.

I have to say, that I am impressed with our family.  We all gave a report on our progress the other night but it was so noisy in there I'm not sure if everyone could hear.  So here's the update:

Grandpa - exercising 6x per week, he is up to 2 miles a day!  =AWESOME
Grandma - joined Curves and has been doing circut training and liking it! = AWESOME
Connie - 100% on all goals achieved. Exercise, scriptures, and organizing! = AWESOME
Sarah - doing good. Started a tad late, but better late than never.  = AWESOME
Craig - Working out at work. And limiting Coke (I think?)  Is allowed to take a day off for anniversary. = AWESOME
April & Brett - sitting at the far end of the table, I couldn't hear exactly.  I know they are hard workers so I'll just say = AWESOME
Mick - Great goal report.  Doing = AWESOME
Brooklyn - Looks to cute to be anything but = AWESOME
Addie - Keeping up with her goal of being full of it. Gave us her report loud and clear.=AWESOME
Benny - Working hard to achieve that 6 pack.  Working, school, coaching, go to gym.= AWESOME
Katie - Working out with her team.  Brilliant. Kills two birds with one stone.  I wish I could get paid while I exercise. = AWESOME
Terry - Working on eliptical, and playing basketball.  100% on goal.  = AWESOME
Lettie - Hates the eliptical but gets on anyway.  Good on reading and organizing. = AWESOME
Coleman - Grade point avg. higher than it's ever been.  Working out hard with lacrosse team! = AWESOME
Megan - Reading a great book and exercising at least 4 days/wk. = AWESOME
Max - Exercising everyday and hasn't scatched a scab off in a long time. = AWESOME
Thomas - Exercising everyday. Has had only 3 cans of soda since starting. = AWESOME

Now I don't know what you all think, but I think this is amazing.  Let's keep up the good work.  I think that knowing you're going to be asked to report helps to keep you going.  So just know that I will be asking for your update at every party.  By the way, our next party should fall on Sat. March 2.  But we can change that if we need to so that everybody can come.  Also know that you can give updates, advise, recipes etc. on this fabulous blog any time.  The more we share the more likely we are to keep this going.
What if we all look amazingly fabulous when Trav comes home.  = AWESOME!

So, I know I'm a little late to the whole blogging party, but better late than never right?
Anyways, here are my goals: Work out for 30 minutes five times a week, drink more water, finish the Book of Mormon and write down something I'm thankful for every day:)

And so begins week 2.  Sounds like everyone is doing great.  I don't know if my family shared their goals or not so here goes.

Terry is working out everyday that he can.  He has been doing this for months now, and like Brett, needs no push to keep him going.  The only time he takes off is on Sunday, or if his knee is hurts.

Lettie is working out 5 days a week for 30 min,  reading scriptures 5 days, and organizing 3 things in the house each week. (this is not in place of regular cleaning, just in addition to.)

Coleman is working on getting in shape to start lacrosse.  His focus right now is weight lifting.  His goal is 5 days a week.  He also got a magic bullet for Christmas and makes very healthy smoothies several days each week for breakfast.

Megan is exercising 4 days a week.  She does dance for two hours on Tues and Thurs. and plays basketball Fri and Sat.  Her toughest goal is reading.  She is going for 5 days a week.  She's doing great so far.

Thomas is everyone's toughest competition.  Exercise 5 days a week,  read scriptures 5 days a week, and eat healthier.  His focus is on eating less sugar.  He is determined that he is going to the party.

Max is exercising 5 days a week,  wearing his glasses everyday at school, and not digging at scabs.  So far he is doing awesome.  He is also working on reading.

As a family we have decided to try to sing all the songs in sacrament mtg.  Mom and Tom are generally the singers but we are getting everybody involved.  Coleman says he can't sing because his voice cracks so for now he may just be reading along.  I told him that Heavenly Father doesn't care what you sound like so just sing away, but I think it might take a little convincing.

We are looking forward to the party!  Hope to see everybody there.
